This program will provide participants with an overview of the new Revised Uniform Arbitration Act (RUAA) and the impact this new statute will have on the ADR process.

This statute is a major improvement offering arbitration participants enhanced predictability, lower costs, shorter proceedings and, over time, increased uniformity with arbitration legislation in other states.

The Michigan Arbitration Act had not been modified since its adoption in 1961 and these changes were necessary to bring the arbitration statute into the 21st century.

Hear from the experts who were directly involved with the drafting and implementation of this new statute.

Attendees will learn why these change were needed and best practices for their next arbitration.
