Changes in technology continue to impact the way discovery is handled. In this 60-minute recorded webinar, you’ll hear techniques – from the perspective of both counsel and arbitrator – to help you effectively manage the scope and costs of gathering, exchanging, and reviewing Electronically Stored Information (ESI) within the context of a construction arbitration.
The speakers address various ways to reduce the cost of electronic discovery and provide best practices to:
- reduce the scope of electronic document exchange
- cull duplicative and irrelevant documents (including search terms and predictive coding)
- limit the number of email custodians
- restrict dates
- produce certain files in native formats (e.g., Excel and CAD files, Primavera or other scheduling software, Access and project databases, etc.)
- create and preserve metadata and related issues
The faculty also discusses the types of disputes that can arise between parties concerning the production of ESI and cost-saving methods to resolve these disputes.
By listening to this presentation, you’ll gain insight and actionable steps to manage the scope and cost of exchanging electronic information as well as identify and resolve disputes that occur due to ESI.
Comments from attendees include:
--This webinar gave good information without "dumbing it down" for the novices. They kept it relevant for those of us with some experience on the subject matter. Citation of relevant cases was excellent.
--This was my first experience with webinar but was impressed with the quality and process and will likely sign up for another in the future.
