90 Minutes

A parachute, if it is packed properly, can be a life-saver. On the other hand, a poorly packed parachute will most likely lead to a real disaster.  This same example can be applied to the drafting of an arbitration clause in Individually Negotiated Employment Contracts (INEC).  If it is drafted carefully and addresses all of the key points that need to be considered with respect to a particular contractual relationship, it facilitates the resolution of any dispute or breach that might arise.  If, on the other hand, it is simply a hodge-podge of boiler plate phrases that are either too skimpy or far to convoluted, it can become as much a part of a particular dispute as the underlying dispute itself.

This 90-minute recorded webinar is designed to take attendees through a very structured process with respect to the drafting of arbitration clauses in Individually Negotiated Contracts.  Two seasoned and successful attorney/arbitrators will talk about the key elements to take into account when drafting an INEC clause.  Using a hypothetical based upon a real contractual arrangement, the team will use the AAA’s ClauseBuilder Tool to build a clause live online.  Advocates representing both the employee and employer will see how easy it is to use this free online tool to draft an ADR clause that facilitates the dispute resolution process instead of impeding it.

This program does not qualify for the AAA's annual Arbitrator Continuing Education (ACE) requirement.
