80 Minutes

Outsourcing, both domestic and international, has become a standard business practice. Outsourcing agreements are long-term commitments by a services provider and a customer that transfer the operation of and responsibility for certain business functions (such as information technology, finance and accounting, facilities management, or procurement) to the provider. Disputes almost invariably arise during the term. Yet, the services must continue even while the parties are attempting to resolve their differences.

This 80-minute recorded webinar reviews the types of ADR increasingly being used in the outsourcing field to help parties govern their relationship by resolving disputes in a predictable and positive manner. Lawyer/arbitrators Sherman Kahn and Julian Millstein identify key ADR techniques best suited for outsourcing agreements, including Early Neutral Evaluation, standing neutrals and dispute resolution boards (DRBs), mediation, and forms of international arbitration.

Register for this program to:

  • learn the latest techniques to manage disputes in long-term outsourcing agreements through the use of independent neutrals;
  • review examples of dispute resolution clauses that implement current trends in ADR as applied to outsourcing;
  • improve the results of outsourcing relationships by providing a process to positively and efficiently resolve disputes;
  • elevate your personal skills and ability to harness ADR for your company/organization.

WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM THIS PRESENTATION – In-house and outside attorneys and businesspeople engaged in outsourcing transactions.

This program does not qualify for the annual Arbitrator Continuing Education (ACE) requirement.
